Kristyna Baczynski is an illustrator, comic book artist and
designer of Yorkshire tongue and Ukrainian blood. She holds a First Class
degree in Graphic Arts & Design, a Northern Design Award and was the
Thought Bubble 2011 Artist In Residence. She works from her studio in Leeds,
freelancing as a designer and illustrator as well as self-publishing comics and
zines.
Kristyna was the first choice for who should create the cover of the Mythical Creatures postcard book and she is going to be a hard act to follow. Her illustrations are beautiful and decorative, her hand drawn lettering is impeccable and she has a unique sense of design. She is also prolific and has created typographic banners aswell a series of repeat patterns for both the Mythical Creatures blog and the Girls Who Draw blog.
